I am trying to make a point of taking a few photos every day, so I am going to take photos of things I think are interesting around the central city in Auckland when I am there. Including works of art like the statures that are around the city.

This in the Wynyard Quarter and is by Frizzell.

East Meets West
This is a new mural that is on one the alleys leading off from High Street. It's by Flox.

Sky City Sculpture
This is outside the main entrance to Sky City in central Auckland – it has the Sky City Tower and the casino in various parts of it. There's a poll right in front of it, which is a pity.

Elsie
This is on the alley wall opposite the Post Office just off Wellesley Street on one end and Aotea Square on the other end. It is in an incredibly awkward position to photograph as the two buildings on either side of the alley are so close together.

Bronze Gnome
This is the new statute opposite the Auckland Art Gallery which is the latest one out of the set that are replaced every six months. The previous ones were the Bronze Rabbit, Bird Man with Mask, Fantail and Pigeon Sculpture, and Fantail Sculpture.

Awkward Seal
This just off K Rd. It's by Paul Walsh who has also painted Punky Rooster also on K Road, Skifcha in Greenlane, Chimp Selfie in Hauraki and Menswear Dog in Grey Lynn.
Bronze Girl and Elephant
This is on Pitt Street and is less than a minute's walk from K Road. There wasn't any sign for it so I don't know who made it or what its' actual name is.

Maori Mural II
This is a mural on Edinburgh St, just off K Road and it looks like it was painted by the same person who painted Maori Mural, which is by S. Duffell.
Punky Rooster
This is on East St and is just off K Rd. It's by Paul Walsh who has also painted Skifcha in Greenlane, Chimp Selfie in Hauraki and Menswear Dog in Grey Lynn.
The Flapping Wind
This is on Queen Street a few minutes' walk down from the intersection with K Rd and is a bronze and paint sculpture by Rachel Walters.
Viva Freda
This painted on a building on Hereford St opposite Malcom Way, just off K Rd.
Zig-Zag Boutique
This is East St, just off K Rd and was painted by Xoe Hall.

This is a sculpture that is outside the central city campus of AUT and is just up the road from the central city library.
Meadow Box
This is one of the power or phone boxes that is outside the central city campus of the AUT, which has been painted with pictures of trees and a meadow and is just up the road from the central city library.

Loafers
This is called "Loafers" and was made by Fancis Upritchard in 2012. It is on the corner of Wellesley St East and Symonds St, and is right next to the Auckland University.

Bledisoe House Wool Graffiti
This is wool graffiti that has turned up in the last week on Wellesley Street, just off Queen Street, right outside Bledisoe House. The sulptures in this picture are The Matahorua & Tainui Anchors.

Skycity Maori Carving
This is in the entrance to the Skycity Tower and restaurants. There isn't a current plaque with information about it - there is an obvious space where they used to have one though.
Bronze Rabbit
This is the new statue across the road from the Auckland Art Gallery and the main public library, which seems to be changed every 6 or so months. The previous ones were Bird Man with Mask, Fantail and Pigeon Sculpture, and Fantail Sculpture. The writing on the base says "Paul Dibble 2001 NZ".

Pitt St Carpark
This is on the top end of Pitt Street, just before the intersection with K Road. The panting of the Pitt Street Woman is on the start of the driveway down to this carpark.
K Road Couples
This is one of the carparks on K Road and is on the corner of K Road and Gundry Street. It's by BMD who also did Maui's Dolphin, Victoria Park Mural and the Cat Cargo Container.
Hostel Mural
This is painted on the corner of a hostel on K Road, and is on the side of the hostel on West Tce. The signiture on the mural is Jonny4higher.
Green Party Box
This one of the phone/power boxes on K Rd that has been painted; it was sponsored by the Greens.

Basement Theatre Door
This is the door to the theatre from the carpark that leads to Myers Park from Aotea Square end. The signature says "Megan Geliza * Aesop * 9 *2014".

Butcher Statue
This is a statue of a butcher having a tug of war over a sausage with a pig. It's on K Road, close to the intersection with Queen Street. There wasn't any indication I could find about who made it and what the statue really is called.

This is on K Road; the writing says "# withsyria" and "...and with the children of Pakistan".

Lego Ms Pacman
I saw this on one of the side roads going off Lorne Street, which is one of the roads running parallel to Queen Street.
Rainbow Warrior Mosaic
This mosaic about the Rainbow Warrior bombing is by Jan Morrison and is on the water front about 5 minutes walk from the main ferry terminal.

This is painted on the side of a cargo container on the wharf next to the ferry terminal and The Cloud.
It is by TMD, which includles Elliot Francis Stewart who painted the previous street art on the same container called Marine Birds.

This is painted on the side of a cargo container on the wharf next to the ferry terminal and The Cloud.

This is the door of one of the Mexican Restaurants in the Britomart Quarter on Galway Street and is close to the main train station.

Cargo Coffee
This is a mural in a coffee shop in the Britomart section, which is at the bottom of Queen Street next to the main train station. It's by Cinzah. He also did the Flowers Mural in Devonport.

Symonds Street Cemetery Statue
This is an unnamed, (as far as I could tell), statue in the Symonds Streets Cemetery. It's in the park that is next to the Jewish section of the cemetery and is on the corner of K Road.
Dave McArtney Mural
This is a mural of the musician Dave McArtney that is on the side of a music store on K Road and is on the wall facing the Jewish section of the Symonds Street Cemetery. Dave McArtney was in a New Zealand band called Hello Sailor and he died in 2013. It is by an artist called Paul Walsh.

Bus Power Box
This is one of the boxes down the road from the Auckland Public Hospital in Grafton that has been painted to look like a bus. It's a couple of minutes' walk from the end of K Road over the Grafton Bridge.

This is in the middle of Queen Street and is opposite Aotea Square. It is called "Sappho" and was made by Aleko Kyriakos in 1973.

This is the ATM outside the ANZ near the bottom of Queen Street, close to the ferry terminal. They decorated it for the Auckland Gay Parade.

Custom Street West Mural
This is on Custom Street West at the Albert Street end. It's round the corner from Hudson Street Mural and Storage Building, though I'm not entirely sure if it's was painted since I took the photos of the other two murals, or I'd accidently missed it last time.

Pitt Street Woman
This is painted on the back of one of the shops on K Road and can be seen on Pitt Street. It is right next to the Pitt Street Methodist Church. It didn't have any type of signature that I could see.
Maui's Dolphin
This is a mural in the Wynyard Quarter called "Maui's Dolphin" and is painted by BMD - @BMDisyourfriend and bmdisyourfriend.com.
Bmd has also painted the Victoria Park Mural and the Cat Cargo Container.
