"Friends With Benefits"
I'm going to start off by saying that the sole reason I went to see "Friends With Benefits" was due to the fact that it was 100% free. That said for a rom-com it wasn't that bad and the first half was quite good for this type of movie, though I did think it was more forced after as the two main characters started doing the standard fighting with each other plot line.
There was some effort to make the movie slightly different from the standard rom-com. The ending wasn't 100% standard fall madly in love and live happily ever after, though there was something of a live happily ever after ending of course. The actress who played Dharma in Dharma & Greg played a minor character and there was a direct, forced joke about the main female character acting exactly like Dharma. There is also a minor character played by Woody Harrison that is an obvious attempt to be the polar opposite of the stereotypical gay guy you find in a lot of TV shows and movies.
I don't think "Friends With Benefits" was that bad - especially for a rom-com which I'm usually not that fond of, but it was a great pity the movie was let down by the weaker second half.
