"sleeping beauties"
By: Stephen King & Owen King

This book was fine, due to it being written with his son it’s not a standard Stephen King book of course. Given how long it was, the plot was very slow, not a lot happened, and it came to an end quite suddenly.

I didn’t like the ending as the story worked up to a big show down at the women’s prison that a lot of the story centers around, with a lot of deaths through the fighting that does happen, but they just stop and go to this magical tree out in the forest together to wait for the women to come back because the woman who they had been fighting over told them to do it. The women who had fallen asleep decided to come back easily, and the whole story just ended there for the most part.

I am pleased that I read it, but at the same time I am very pleased that I didn’t buy it and just borrowed a copy from the library instead, as I would have been even more disappointed – esp. with the ending – if I had bought it.
