"Royal Flush"
By: Rhys Bowen

This book is the third book in her “Royal Spyness” series, which I’m reading out of order and am only getting around to reading the early books in the series. This books stands up a lot better than the first book in the series to having been read after reading some of the later books, as it is a lot more of a standalone plot line and doesn’t have any plot points that have come up in later books unlike the first book.

I did enjoy this book, the only problems I have with these books are that they are very forgettable and light, and I find the main character’s relationship with the man that she will marry in a later book annoying – she’s very stand offish with him but he totally ignores how she treats him and refuses to leave her alone. They are an easy read and I can read them very quickly, despite being a slow reader normally.
