"Munich"
By: Robert Harris

This book does not have a standard plot at all, as it is strongly based on historical events, and it doesn’t have a regular ending – it certainly doesn’t have a happy ending given that everyone reading it knows about World War 2 and that he includes details about what happens to one of the main characters in the book in 1944. It is surprisingly easy and fast to read given the lack of plot as such, and it was an interesting book.

I am surprised that he managed to pull this book off and made it as interesting as he did, given that the subject doesn’t really lend itself well to a novel. I can picture people interested in that time being a touch unhappy about the books length and how lightly he touches on the history behind it, but I do think that being more in depth could have easily made the book drag and become boring.
