"Four Funerals and Maybe a Wedding"
By: Rhys Bowen

This is currently the latest book, of 12, in this series and is where the main character and her finance finally get married after beating around the bush for so long! While the books itself is readable, and I enjoyed it, it is a bit light on the ground plot wise. The main character also seems to get everything – well the money problems that have been plaguing her the entire series – mostly/completely sorted out for her, by one of her mother’s previous husbands who hasn’t been a part of the series up to now.

I do think that this would be an incredibly bad book to start the series with, as I do think it’s weaker than the earlier books and it is completely and deeply dependent on what has happened in previous books, in relation to the main character with ongoing money and romance problems, what happened to her best friend in previous books, and issues arising from her mother or her sister-in-law. This book also doesn’t explain why the current Queen of England likes the main character so much, which arises from some of the various books and why the Queen is so insistent on coming to her wedding, though this really isn’t an important plot point in this book.
