"Dreaming Spies"
By: Laurie R. King

This book was fine, but quite forgettable. It wasn’t like the other books in her Mary Russell series in that the two main characters are being controlled by a Japanese agent and seem to be on the back foot quite a bit of the time.

I’m not entirely sure I can say that I really liked it; I was able to read it with no problems and found it enjoyable while I was reading it, and it was just bland for some reason. It’s more of a book for people who are already fans of the series as a whole, in particular due to how far into the series it is – its book 13 in the series and it does depend somewhat on character development in earlier books as well as mentioning characters created for the series.
