I had stopped reading the Dexter series after the third book Dexter in the Dark, which was enough to put me off the series for about three years. I ended up getting this book from a second hand book store cheaply so I thought I'd give it a go given that I'd enjoyed the seventh book - Dexter is Delicious - which I'd gotten out of the library.
I did enjoy this book a lot and I am pleased that the third book seems to have been a blimp in the series and the other books are a lot better. It isn't great literature, but is readable and enjoyable if somewhat mindless.
